Memorial Medical Center Foundation Receives Donation for Infusion Center

Gross Motors presented the Memorial Medical Center Foundation a donation today for MMC’s new infusion center, which will open in the Spring of 2017. Sharon Warden, Chief Nursing Officer and John Beauchamp, the Executive Director of Clinic Operations, accepted the donation on behalf of MMC.  The creation of the infusion center is another great opportunity for MMC to help our Oncology patients receive the cancer care needed in Neillsville.

“At the beginning of 2016, we realized the need for cancer treatments in our community and have been working diligently to bring services to our patients.  Dr. Leon from Marshfield Clinic has been seeing patients at our facility for the past few months and soon, the infusion center will bring treatment options for our cancer patients that will be more accessible and convenient for our patients,” comment Warden. “In addition, the infusion center will also be used for patients who need antibiotics, injections and other  outpatient procedures that can be accomplished in the center.”

The infusion center is being funded through private donations received at the Memorial Medical Center Foundation.  For information on the infusion center or the Foundation, contact Shelley Janke, Foundation Director at 715.743.8456.
