Urgent Care/Emergency

By definition, an emergency is “a serious situation or occurrence that happens unexpectedly and demands immediate action.”

That’s why the Emergency Department at Marshfield Medical Center-Neillsville is always open to meet your family’s healthcare needs. Our 100% board-certified physicians are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.

Conditions such as fever, strep throat, or ear infections do not require emergency care. These types of illness can be treated by our great urgent care team 24/7.

Visit Urgent Care rather than Emergency Care for the following symptoms:

Minor lacerations
Urinary tract infections
Ear aches
Sprains/strains/simple fractures
Rising fever
Coughs/ colds/fever/flu
Sinus infections
Sore throat
Pink eye, or conjunctivitis
Back pain
Minor burns
Rashes without a fever, like insect bites/poison ivy

Urgent care is  located in the emergency room area. Your urgent care visit is charged less than an ER visit but more than a clinic visit.
